Herbal Acne Treatment

There is much in the news today regarding herbal products. The reason for this is because people have grown to distrust non-organic products. This is due to a variety of problems that are associated with pharmaceuticals. As such, herbal treatments for common maladies have become increasingly popular. In recent years, one of the more popular herbal products that have emerged has been herbal acne treatment.

For many decades, there has been a virtual war that has been waged by the advertising industry on acne. This war has come in the form of the common anti-pimple commercials they stressed stringent pads and deep cleaning creams. These were mainly over the counter products and are not herbal treatment products. There are two reasons for this. The first is that herbal acne treatment products truly did not exist – at least not on a large consumer scale – prior to the past five years. The second reason is that when herbal acne treatment products were (and are) not commonly advertised on a national level is simply a matter of economics. This is neither a good or bad thing. Simply, smaller companies do not have the finances for a massive advertising campaign. The negative result of this is that a lack of perception has led to people thinking less of an herbal acne treatment as opposed to over the counter or prescription treatments.

Granted, there will be those who look at an herbal acne treatment with extreme skepticism. This is understandable as many herbal products fall below the radar of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). People are not willing to lose money paying for an herbal acne treatment that does not work effectively. Again, this is understandable. However, what also needs to be understood is that because one particular manufacturer of an herbal acne treatment may end up not providing an effective product it does not mean that every manufacturer of such a product is ineffective. Also, one should never automatically assume that FDA approved products for acne is automatically a good thing. After all, there have been a number of prescription acne medications that have proven to be disastrous in terms of their side effects. Of course, there are a number of helpful and reliable FDA approved products as well.

Of course, the ultimate litmus test of an herbal acne treatment is whether or not it works for the person is taking the product. If the herbal acne treatment works for you then that should be enough.
